About Aby Dadashi
Aby Dadashi was born in 1958. As a young child, he was surrounded and inspired by the paintings he watched his father and older brothers produce. It was only natural that Aby, encouraged by his father, became a professional artist.
He originally started his painting career as a landscape artist. After experimenting with many different styles and mediums, his subject matter has grown to incorporate portrait work, still life and animals. All of his paintings are dominated by his depth of colour. Aby paints with a brush and palette knife, depicting Canadian sceneries with such sun-kissed harmonizing colours which evoke a strong viewer response. You can feel the temperature of the day…smell the scent of the forest and imagine the clouds floating gently above.
Aby graduated the Tehran University in 1984 with a B.F.A. He obtained his M.F.A. in 1986 and then his P.H.D. in 1988. His training and experience is intense and diverse.
In 1988, Aby left Iran to begin a solitary career in Toronto, Ontario. He has participated in many international exhibitions and is renowned worldwide. Aby’s paintings are in many private and corporate collections around the world.
