Peter Marsh

Born in England in 1943, Peter immigrated to Canada in 1957. Peter has been painting for over 30 years in watercolours, acrylics and most recently has pursued raku pottery. “I don’t subscribe to a constant style because there is always personal change, and in looking for new directions one finds “the edge of creativity.”

Now semi-retired from his formal teaching, Peter continues to build on his strong background of traditional landscape painting, by delighting the viewer with his non-representational images. As vibrant paintings, full of colour, brushstroke and design, these painting deliver Peter’s poignant concerns with the perils faced by our natural environment.

He’s an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, and remains active as a member of the executive. Peter is also an elected member of the Society of Canadian Artists. He’s earned great recognition for his paintings, and for teaching.

Peter Marsh’s paintings reside in corporate and private collections in Canada and abroad.
